I’m a director, a script-writer, and a director of photography.

I also hold a Master's degree in Literature.

For a long time I specialized in small-crew shoots. That gave me wide hands-on experience.

My extensive travels in more than 30 countries over Africa, Europe, Asia and America have allowed me to develop great adaptability and resourcefulness. Living abroad for long periods of time made exotism my reality. In fact I like being “the alien”.

My sense of efficiency, a strong positive outlook on life and my natural aptitude to work within production parameters allow me to team up regularly with Montreal’s major tv production companies.

Born in Congo to a Canadian mother and a Dutch father, Frederic Gieling currently lives in Montreal.
